GENOVA

Founded in 1814, the Historic Shop is a protected monument under the Superintendence for Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape. In 2021, the first major restoration since its founding was carried out, with the aim of returning its original beauty to the city of Genoa and to the wider community.

Visitors can admire veneered "Spiniero" wood furniture (now known as West Indian Satinwood), exquisite carved Rosewood decorations, precious marbles, and bronze gas chandeliers. A period barometer and clock are also present, carefully restored to their original function and splendor.

In the heart of Via Roma, one of Genoa’s most prestigious streets, among majestic 19th-century buildings, the second Romanengo shop opened in 1930.

The space, featuring refined dark wood furnishings and large mirrors reminiscent of the Via Soziglia shop, retains all the elegance typical of the 19th century.

Due to its historical and cultural significance, it has been officially recognized as a historic shop and venue in Genoa.

MILANO

In the oldest part of the city, where the connection to history remains ever-present, two distinct shops tell the story of Romanengo in Milan.

The confectionery shop offers our authentic assortment, while the tea and spice shop revives the link between these products and our origins.
